Título: GLANDULAR ODONTOGENIC CYST OF ANTERIOR MAXILLA: RADIOLOGICAL AND HISTOPATHOLOGICAL FEATURES

Resumo: Glandular odontogenic cyst (GOC) is an extremely rare cyst of odontogenic origin, with unpredictable and potentially aggressive behavior. It also has the propensity to grow to a large size and a tendency towards recurrence. Herein, we describe the radiological and histopathological features of an unusual case of a GOCoccurring in a 58-year-old man who presented with swelling in the anterior maxilla for the past 4 months between the left central incisor and canine. Cone-Beam Computed Tomography showed an oval, unilocular, homogeneously hypodense region. Cortical expansion of the maxilla was present. There was a loss of lamina dura in all the above-mentioned teeth. No calcification was noted within the cavity of the lesion On histopathological examination, a GOC was confirmed featuring pseudostratified columnar cells with cilia, goblet cells, and mucous cells. Complete enucleation of the cyst was done, and the patient was considered treated and is currently under follow-up.
