Título: MUCOEPIDERMOID CARCINOMA IN THE BUCCAL MUCOSA: REPORT OF THREE CASES

Resumo: Three female patients aged between 39 and 69 years old sought the stomatology clinic complaining of asymptomatic swelling in the buccal mucosa, with evolution ranging from 2 months to 2 years. The lesions were mobile, of firm consistency and covered by intact mucosa and of normal color, with sizes ranging from 5mm to 30mm. The diagnostic hypotheses were glandular neoplasia or benign mesenchymal neoplasia. During incisional biopsies, it was observed that the lesions were poorly defined and adhered to the underlying muscle tissue. Histological sections showed malignant glandular neoplasia characterized by sheets of epidermoid cells and mucous cells forming cystic structures of varying sizes. The histopathological diagnosis was mucoepidermoid carcinoma for all cases. All lesions were treated only by surgical excision with a safety margin, and the patients had no signs of recurrence for at least six months.
