Título: Neonatal multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with prenatal maternal SARS-CoV-2: a report of oral manifestations

Resumo: Neonatal Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-N) is a post-infection immune-mediated condition by COVID-19 in neonates and characterized by persistent fever, rash, dilation of conjunctival blood vessels, multiorgan dysfunction, and elevated inflammatory markers. We report a 1-year and 9-months-old boy toddler with MIS-N. Intraorally, the presence of shape alterations in the teeth 52, 53, and 63, and development defects of dental enamel in the superior incisive (i.e., 51, 52, e 61) was observed. Furthermore, it was noted a circumscribed floating purple swelling on the gingival mucosa, located in the region of the tooth 62, compatible with the diagnosis of eruption cyst. Surgical removal of the eruption cyst has been performed. After the eruption of tooth 62, the presence of development defect of dental enamel was also observed on it. Currently, the patient is under close follow-up due to the unfamiliarity of the underlying disease, as well as possible other oral alterations.
