Resumo: Ameloblastic fibro-odontoma is a controversial rare benign mixed odontogenic tumor defined as "developing odontoma" in the 2017 WHO classification. A 13-years old female patient sought the Stomatology Clinic to identify the cause of the absence of some lower anterior teeth. An increase in volume was observed in the anterior alveolar ridge of the mandible, covered by intact mucosa and of normal color, measuring approximately 15x10 mm. Radiographic examination showed a multilocular radiolucent area, with irregular contours, extending from tooth 34 to 44. Diagnostic hypotheses were ameloblastoma and myxoma. An incisional biopsy was performed and the diagnosis was ameloblastic fibroma. The patient was underwent to excision of the lesion and extraction of the associated teeth. The anatomopathological examination of the surgical specimen revealed the presence of dentin and enamel matrix deposits associated with the ameloblastic tissue. The final diagnosis was ameloblastic fibro-odontoma. Signs of recurrence were not detected after ten years.
