Título: INTRAOSSEOUS LIPOMA: CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 67 years old male patient was referred to the oral medicine service for evaluation of an asymptomatic mandibular radiolucency seen at the panoramic radiograph. The lesion had at least 3 years evolution. The extraoral and intraoral examinations revealed no alterations. The cone beam tomography reveled a with 25mmx30mm hypodense circular image, presenting discrete lobulations. An incisional biopsy under local anesthesia was performed. The diagnostic hypotheses were keratocyst, ameloblastoma or aneurysmal bone cyst. During the surgical procedure, a soft yellowish tissue resembling adipose tissue was seen. After excisional biopsy, the specimen was submitted to histopathological analysis. The presence of lobules of mature adipose tissue surrounded by a fibrous capsule led to the final of diagnosis of intraosseous lipoma. After 3 month follow up, there was no evidence of recurrence.
