Resumo: Objective: establish the relative risk of the different parameters for malignant transformation of oral leukoerythroplakia and the creation of software capable of assisting in the monitoring of potentially malignant lesions. Study Design: cross-sectional clinical study, divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 consisted of manual analysis of the flowchart and establishment of the degree of risk of patients in the control, alcohol/smoking, leukoerythroplakia and squamous cell carcinoma groups. The flowchart analised sociodemographic, clinical, cytological and histopathological patterns. Phase 2 consisted in the creation of a program capable of evaluating the cytological patterns in a computerized form. Results: in phase 1 was possible to establish the relative risk of 13 to 17 low, 18 to 22 moderate and 23 to 28 high through a sample of 140 patients. Cytological analysis AgNOr and Papanicolau evaluated the pattern of cell maturation and morphology, cytomorphometry and proliferation rate for all groups. In phase 2 was created the lebelme software capable of quantifying the cytological analyzes of AgNOR and Papanicolau smears. Conclusion: was possible starting the process of using the relative risk for the development of squamous cell carcinoma through a computerized analized and capable of optimizing the use of oral cytology in cancer prevention.
