Resumo: The diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most frequently reported subtype of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma of the mouth. A 44 years old male patient, smoker, alcoholic, presented a lesion on the tongue's base (right), with 4 months of evolution, painful symptoms and limited mouth opening. An incisional biopsy was performed, followed by a histopathological examination that showed proliferation of juxtaposed cells, with ample eosinophilic cytoplasm and large nucleus, with dispersed chromatin or sometimes hyperchromatic. In addition, numerous mitoses and areas of apoptotic bodies were observed. Was performed immunohistochemical exam showed positivity for LCA, CD20 and Ki67, with proliferation index >90% and negativity for CD3, CD10, CD138, Bcl-2, AE1/AE3, S100 and Desmin. Thus, the diagnosis of DLBCL has been established and the patient died before starting cancer treatment.
