Resumo: Lymphangioma is a rare, benign and congenital malformation of lymphatic vessels. Usually occurs in the first two decades of life, without spontaneous regression. A brown male patient with 12-years-old, with no history of systemic diseases, complaining of an asymptomatic lesion on the tongue that disappeared and appeared every two months, with an evolution of approximately one year. Physical examination revealed a lesion on the dorsum of the tongue on the right side, of unknown cause, with a nodular aspect, irregular surface, sessile implantation and purplish-red appearance. An excisional biopsy was performed, with a histopathological diagnosis of lymphangioma. The patient remains without recurrence of the lesion. The present case emphasizes the importance knowing of rare congenital lesions that may present oral manifestations.
