Resumo: Ameloblastomas are benign neoplasms of odontogenic origin that grow slowly, are locally invasive and have high recurrence rates if not treated properly. This paper aims to report a conservative approach to a clinical case of conventional solid ameloblastoma. Female, black, 36 years old, referred to dental school of UFG with a history of painless swelling in the left mandible and difficulty in opening the mouth. Intraoral examination showed expansion of bone cortical bone by lingual and buccal. Computed tomography revealed bone expansion with thinned corticals located in the left body of the mandible. An incisional biopsy was performed, accompanied by marsupialization, and the pathological examination was compatible with ameloblastoma. Due to the unsuccessful marsupialization, it was subsequently performed, under general anesthesia, the taping and the gauze soaked in the procedure´s escin are changed twice a week. The patient is under follow-up with evaluation of periodic radiographic exams
