Resumo: Varix is a type of of acquired vascular anomaly represented by focal dilatation of a single vein and is mostly seen in elderly patients. One of the most common localization of oral is tongue, buccal mucosa and commissure area region. In recent years, ultrasound-guided sclerosis has been proposed as an alternative treatment for low-flow malformations, especially when surgery cannot achieve a complete resection or seems too damaging. The objective of this study is to present a report case of vascular malformation treated with a sclerosing agent guided by ultrasound. The present case is about a 78-year-old male patient, with the main complaint of a smooth surface, well-defined, soft, dark nodule measuring 10x05x03 mm, localized on the upper lip with an evolution of 20 years. The clinical diagnosis was oral varix and the performed sclerotherapy (5% ethanolamine oleate) with ultrasound-guided puncture.
