Título: CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF ADENOID AMELOBLASTOMA: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 27-years-old female presented with painful swelling in the face, in the right mandibular side, with 4 months before visit as the initial observation. Through intraoral examination it was possible to observe swelling in the lower mandibular molars vestibule in the right side. Panoramic radiography disclosed a well corticated unilocular radiolucent lesion involving lower mandibular molars in the right side, with rooth resorption of teeth #46 and #47. Needle aspiration was performed and a negative result was observed. Then, total enucleation of the lesion was performed. The pathological examination revealed a benign odontogenic neoplasm characterized by the presence of infiltrating odontogenic cells arranged in whorls, duct-like structures in a cribriform arrangement, with peripheral palisading ameloblast-like cells, surrounded by a fibrous vascular stroma and with the presence of a moderate inflammatory infiltrate. The histopathological diagnosis was adenoid ameloblastoma. After 8 months, clinical and radiographic follow up was performed and a complete bone formation was observed.
