Resumo: Objective: Describe cases of tuberculous sialadenitis. Study Design: The cases were diagnosed in a southern Brazil hospital. Demographics and clinical characteristics were gathered. Results: Four cases (2 men and 2 females) with a mean age of 43.2 years were included. The clinical presentation was a painless (n=3) mass in salivary gland (2 in parotid and 2 in submandibular gland), with an evolution time of 1 to 4 months. Cutaneous ulceration was observed in one patient. The histological analysis of the resected gland (3 cases) yielded a definitive diagnosis of tuberculosis. However, in one case, the diagnosis was based on fine needle aspiration followed by incisional biopsy. All patients were referred to an infectologist. Conclusion: Tuberculosis sialadenitis involving major salivary gland is uncommon with a myriad of clinical presentations. In countries in which tuberculosis is endemic, suspicion of this lesion is a prerequisite for major salivary gland enlargement.
