Resumo: Oral contact stomatitis is an oral mucosa inflammatory reaction induced by contact with an irritant or allergen. A 27-year-old male patient was referred complaining lip lesion with7 days of evolution. At the anamnesis, the patient reported accidental contact with electronic cigarette (e-cigarettes) essence, followed by the development of the lesion few hours later. He described a burning sensation, itching and vesicles at the site. Clinical examination revealed vesicles and ulceration in the lower lip with a slightly yellowish color. Clinical diagnostic hypotheses included contact stomatitis, oral burning and granulomatous cheilitis. Treatment with topical chamomile (Ad-Muc®), three times a day for seven days, was performed. After 10 days of follow-up, no lesion and symptoms were observed. It is important to highlight that the use of e-cigarettes is on the rise, so the injuries that come with them have received a considerable interest, including the accidents that lead to inflammatory reaction.
