Título: TELE-STOMATOLOGY IN BRAZIL: EXPANSION AND DIAGNOSTIC SUPPORT FOR ORAL LESIONS

Nome do Apresentador: Davi Figueiredo VALADARES

Categoria do Trabalho: Pôster - Investigação Original (IO)

Área Temática: Estomatologia

Resumo: Objective: To evaluate the expansion and performance of a tele-stomatology platform in Brazil, focusing on diagnostic support for oral lesions.
Methods: Cross-sectional study using data from the Tele Estomato® platform (2023-2026). Valid cases were included, excluding duplicates and incomplete records. Variables included professional profile, lesion location, diagnostic hypotheses, and response time. Descriptive analysis was performed.
Results: The platform expanded to 17 Brazilian states, with approximately 3,300 registered professionals and 3,000 reported cases. Most professionals were female (75.4%), aged 26-35 years (46.3%), and worked in primary care, mainly Basic Health Units (74.9%). The most common specialties were Public Health, Endodontics, and Orthodontics. Lesions were mainly located on the tongue and lips. The most frequent suspected diagnoses were non-neoplastic proliferative processes, squamous cell carcinoma, leukoplakia, mucocele, and infectious lesions. Diagnostic agreement was 62.6%, and the mean response time was 2 days.
Conclusion: Tele-stomatology has expanded nationwide and strengthened diagnostic support in primary care, enabling early identification of potentially malignant lesions and faster specialist access. This strategy improves clinical decision-making and may contribute to better outcomes in oral health.
