Resumo: This study retrospectively analyzed the clinicopathological characteristics of six cases of oral lipomas obtained from the archives of the Oral Histopathology Service at the Federal University of Campina Grande, Patos campus, Paraíba, Brazil. The series demonstrated a higher prevalence in females (66%), with a mean age of 55 years and a predilection for the buccal mucosa (66.6%). Clinically, the lesions presented as slow-growing nodules, measuring between 0.5 and 1.25 cm. The diagnosis was established through excisional biopsies and histopathological examination; the spindle cell variant required immunohistochemical analysis, showing positivity for CD34, vimentin, and Ki-67. The final diagnoses included classic lipoma, fibrolipoma, sialolipoma, and spindle cell lipoma. Management consisted of conservative surgical excision, with no signs of recurrence during a mean follow-up period of 36 months. In conclusion, accurate diagnosis of these benign neoplasms is essential, as they may mimic other oral lesions, such as low-grade liposarcoma, thereby requiring careful evaluation.
