Resumo: Male patient, 49 years old, farmer, mixed-race, with a 15-year smoking history and prior lip trauma 2 years earlier. Preoperative laboratory tests showed no significant alterations. Intraoral examination revealed a nodule on the lower lip, approximately 2 cm in diameter, with normal coloration, flaccid consistency, sessile base, smooth surface, well-defined borders, and endophytic growth, with a clinical hypothesis of mucocele. An excisional biopsy was performed, and the specimen was submitted to the Oral Histopathology Service of the Federal University of Campina Grande, Patos campus. Microscopic analysis showed a benign neoplasm of minor salivary gland origin, characterized by a cystic cavity lined predominantly by a double-layered epithelium arranged in a papillary pattern projecting into the lumen, with areas forming duct-like structures containing amorphous eosinophilic material. The final diagnosis was unicystic papillary cystadenoma. Finally, the patient had periodic clinic follow-ups over 2 years for further evaluations and complementary treatment.
