Resumo: This study reports three cases of solitary calcifying hyperplastic dental follicle in
pediatric patients. Case 1: a 9-year-old boy presented with missing teeth in the upper
right quadrant, with panoramic radiography revealing tooth agenesis and regional
odontodysplasia. The affected "ghost teeth" and associated follicle were extracted, and
the patient is awaiting rehabilitation. Case 2: a 10-year-old boy exhibited impacted teeth
12 and 13, with CT imaging showing a well-defined hypodense lesion around the
crowns; surgical excision was performed followed by oral rehabilitation. Case 3: a 9-
year-old girl presented with a hypodense pericoronal lesion associated with impacted
tooth 21, suggestive of dentigerous cyst, which was treated by curettage and
subsequent rehabilitation. Histopathological analysis in all cases demonstrated
connective tissue containing odontogenic epithelial islands and irregular or concentric
lamellar calcifications with surrounding spindle cell condensation in a storiform pattern,
consistent with calcifying hyperplastic dental follicle.
