Resumo: Canalicular adenoma is a rare benign salivary gland neoplasm (1%) that most commonly affects patients in the seventh decade of life, has a slight female predilection and occurs most frequently on the upper lip (80%). An 83-year-old patient presented with a submucosal nodule located on the upper labial mucosa, similar in color to the surrounding mucosa, with well-defined borders, slow-growing, and painless for one year in evolution. An excisional biopsy and histopathological examination were performed, revealing cords of monomorphic cuboidal to columnar epithelial cells forming canalicular structures; the findings were consistent with canalicular adenoma. Although it is a benign lesion, it may be misdiagnosed due to its similarity to other conditions; therefore, accurate identification and appropriate follow-up are important.
