Título: PERIPHERAL CEMENTO-OSSIFYING FIBROMA MIMICKING A MATURE PYOGENIC GRANULOMA IN A POSTPARTUM PATIENT

Resumo: A 37-year-old melanoderma female patient was referred to the oral medicine service presenting a pedunculated, asymptomatic, non-bleeding, pink-colored lesion associated with biofilm, with an eight-month evolution, measuring approximately 1 cm, located on the buccal gingiva of tooth 42. She reported a history of pregnancy approximately one year prior. Previous laboratory tests, including complete blood count, coagulation profile, prothrombin time, and glycated hemoglobin, were within normal limits. Based on the clinical findings, an excisional biopsy was performed. Thus, the nodule was removed and sent for histopathological analysis with a result of peripheral cemento-ossifying fibroma. Management consisted of complete excision of the lesion, with postoperative clinical follow-up, without complications to date.
