Resumo: Giant cell granuloma is a nodular growth of the oral cavity of non-neoplastic nature. It presents as a swelling with an ulcerated surface, which may be smooth or lobulated, and is usually pedunculated. The growth is painless, although significant bleeding may occur due to its high vascularization. This lesion is associated with increased levels of estrogen and progesterone hormones; therefore, it is more common in pregnant women, especially from the seventh month of pregnancy onward. Patient A.A., male, 48 years old, with a high degree of obesity, reported the appearance of a lesion in the lower vestibular gingival region, with approximately 6 months of growth. The clinical aspect was pedunculated, with an ulcerated and lobulated surface. The treatment consisted of excisional biopsy, and the anatomopathological examination confirmed the diagnostic hypothesis.
