Resumo: A 64-year-old female patient presented with a progressively enlarging swelling in the right floor of the mouth over a three-year period. She occasionally reported pain, xerostomia, and discharge of a dark-colored fluid. Clinical examination revealed a soft, slightly yellowish lesion with diffuse and poorly defined borders. Ultrasonographic evaluation demonstrated a well-circumscribed lesion, suggestive of a benign process. Based on these findings, a provisional diagnosis of lipoma was established, and an excisional biopsy was indicated. A superficial incision was performed using a high-power superpulsed diode laser (Gemini Evo) at 1 W in contact mode, followed by blunt dissection. Minimal intraoperative bleeding occurred due to the hemostatic effect of the laser, improving surgical visualization. The lesion was completely removed and submitted for histopathological analysis, which confirmed the diagnosis of lipoma. No postoperative complications or recurrence were observed during follow-up, demonstrating favorable clinical outcome.
