Resumo: Bell's palsy is a primary facial paralysis that affects facial muscle function and quality of life. This study reports the adjunctive use of photobiomodulation in the treatment of an adult patient with peripheral facial paralysis. A 44-year-old male patient presented with right-sided facial paralysis and was evaluated clinically using the House-Brackmann scale. The patient underwent 20 sessions of low-level laser therapy using red and infrared wavelengths, combined with standard pharmacological management and muscle therapy. Clinical follow-up included photographic documentation and functional assessment. The patient showed progressive improvement, evolving from grade IV to grade II on the House-Brackmann scale during treatment, with complete recovery (grade I) at follow-up. Photobiomodulation demonstrated effectiveness as an adjunctive, non-invasive therapy, contributing to neural recovery and improvement in facial function.
