Resumo: Multiple Myeloma (MM) and AL amyloidosis are plasma cell dyscrasias that may coexist. AL amyloidosis may involve the oral cavity, sometimes representing the first manifestation of the disease and the underlying MM. We report 5 cases of oral amyloidosis in patients with MM treated at a Cancer Center in São Paulo over a ten-year period. The series included three female and two male patients, with a mean age of 69 years. All patients presented macroglossia. Clinical findings included tongue induration, crenated tongue, traumatic ulcers, hematomas, and yellowish mucosal discoloration. Two patients had oral amyloidosis as the first manifestation of MM. Histopathological analysis showed predominant interstitial and perivascular amyloid deposition, while periacinar deposition was observed in only one patient. Two patients with amyloidosis involving more than one site died during follow-up. These findings highlight the importance of early diagnosis, reinforcing the dentist's role in multidisciplinary care of patients with MM
