Resumo: Ameloblastoma is a benign odontogenic neoplasm characterized by slow growth, local aggressiveness, and high recurrence rates; the solid type is most common, frequently affecting the posterior mandible. A 37-year-old female smoker presented with swelling and numbness in the left lower face, noticed approximately four months prior. Extraoral examination revealed left-sided asymmetry in the mandibular body; intraorally, bony cortical expansion covered by intact mucosa was observed, with an associated residual root, firm and tender on palpation, without fluctuation. Panoramic radiography and computed tomography revealed an extensive radiolucent image with irregular scalloped borders. Aspiration yielded citrine-yellow fluid; incisional biopsy revealed solid content. The final diagnosis was established through clinical-imaging correlation and histopathological examination consistent with solid ameloblastoma. Treatment consisted of en bloc surgical resection with safety margins and subsequent rehabilitation planning. The patient has been under follow-up for two years, with satisfactory progress and no recurrence.
