Resumo: Florid cemento-osseous dysplasia is a benign condition that typically affects middle-aged Black women, being uncommon in adolescents. We report a case of a 16-year-old male patient who was referred for evaluation of an asymptomatic mandibular alteration identified in imaging studies during orthodontic treatment planning. Clinically, no alteration was observed in the anterior region of the mandible. Panoramic radiography revealed a well-defined unilocular radiolucent image extending from teeth 33 to 43. In addition irregular radiopaque areas surrounded by a radiolucent halo were identified in the posterior regions of the mandible and maxillas. Cone-beam computed tomography provided detailed visualization of these findings, suggesting florid cemento-osseous dysplasia associated with a simple bone cyst. Surgical exploration of the radiolucent area in the anterior mandible was performed and an empty cavity was found confirming the diagnosis. The patient remains under continuous clinical and radiographic follow-up, with no evidence of complications or disease progression to date.
