Resumo: Soft tissue myxomas are rare benign mesenchymal tumors characterized by hypocellular and hypovascular areas within a myxoid stroma. A 28-year-old female presented to the Oral Medicine Service with a painless, slow-growing gingival swelling that originated during the late stages of pregnancy. Physical examination revealed a 2.5 cm nodule with a normal-colored surface and no radiographic evidence of bone resorption. Clinical differential diagnoses included pyogenic granuloma, peripheral ossifying fibroma, and irritation fibroma. Histopathological examination showed a prominent myxoid stroma containing few spindle-shaped and stellate cells interspersed among loosely arranged collagen fibers. Histochemical staining was positive for Alcian Blue, while immunohistochemistry was negative for S-100. Based on clinical, histochemical, and immunohistochemical findings, a diagnosis of oral soft tissue myxoma was established. The lesion was completely excised, and the patient remains under follow-up with no signs of recurrence.
