Resumo: Ameloblastomas are benign odontogenic tumors characterized by locally aggressive behavior, with persistent invasion of adjacent structures and a high recurrence rate. Although typically asymptomatic, definitive diagnosis relies on histopathological evaluation. This study aimed to perform a clinicopathological characterization of ameloblastomas diagnosed at two reference centers in Curitiba, Brazil. A retrospective analysis was conducted on records from 35 patients treated between 2013 and 2025, based on the review of clinical and histopathological data. The results demonstrated that ameloblastomas predominantly affected young and middle-aged adults, with a peak incidence in the third decade of life and no significant sex predilection, most frequent among white patients. The mandible was the most involved anatomical site, and surgical resection was the primary treatment modality. Histopathological analysis revealed 22 cases of conventional ameloblastoma (10 follicular, 7 plexiform, 3 acanthomatous, 1 basal cell, and 1 granular cell), 11 unicystic cases, and 1 adenoid ameloblastoma. Understanding the clinical presentation associated with different histopathological patterns of ameloblastomas is essential for accurate diagnosis and appropriate therapeutic planning, contributing to improved patient management and prognosis.
