Título: ORAL MANIFESTATION OF MYELOMA: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignant neoplasm characterized by the clonal proliferation of plasma cells in the bone marrow, often leading to the production of monoclonal proteins and systemic involvement. A 75-year-old female with a history of MM presented with a one-month history of pain in tooth 45 and progressive swelling in the corresponding mandibular region. Computed tomography revealed a 2.5cm osteolytic lesion with cortical bone rupture. An incisional biopsy was performed after an unsuccessful aspirative puncture. The patient disclosed a five-year history of multiple myeloma without prior manifestations. Histopathology confirmed a plasmacytoma infiltrating the connective tissue. The patient underwent combined chemotherapy and surgery. Regrettably, she passed away due to COVID-19 one year after completing treatment. This case highlights the importance of considering multiple myeloma in the differential diagnosis of osteolytic lesions in the oral cavity.
