Resumo: A 76-year-old male patient, victim of a fall from height, was admitted to the emergency service with a temporal region laceration diagnosed by computed tomography and clinical examination. During hospitalization for femur fracture treatment, he underwent reconstructive suturing of the lesion. After 24 hours, photobiomodulation associated with photodynamic therapy was initiated, including wound cleaning with 10-volume hydrogen peroxide, followed by application of methylene blue diluted from 1% to 0.1% in sterile solution and irradiation with a red laser (660 nm; P=100 mW) at 9 J in scanning mode for 6 minutes over the scar area. Three sessions were performed at 24-hour intervals until hospital discharge, followed by six additional outpatient sessions using red laser at 1 J per point. The patient required removal of auricular granulomas caused by intradermal sutures. The combined therapy showed favorable effects on tissue repair and scar evolution.
