Resumo: Vascular malformation (VM) are abnormalities of unknown etiology that involve blood vessels, characterized by extravasation of blood into adjacent tissues. When superficial, VMs may be aesthetically unappealing and prone to rupture, indicating the need for treatment, whether by sclerotherapy, laser therapy or a combination of both. This case series includes 5 patients aged 35, 37, 48, 55 and 70 years, presenting with vascular malformations in the oral region and no relevant medical history. Diode laser parameters: output power of 1.0 W, continuous mode (66.7 Hz pulse rate), 980 nm wavelength (infrared range), with the laser beam delivered through a 400 μm optical fiber, for 10/20/10 seconds. No patients experienced complications, and complete resolution of the aesthetic complaint was observed. The surgical diode laser provides local hemostatic control, shorter procedure times, achieving good clinical and aesthetic results.
