Título: GARDNER SYNDROME IN A YOUNG ADULT: MULTIDISCIPLINARY DIAGNOSIS AND THE ROLE OF EARLY CLINICOPATHOLOGICAL CORRELATION

Resumo: Gardner syndrome is an uncommon hereditary genetic disorder characterized by intestinal polyps and several bone, dental, skin, and soft tissue abnormalities; its diagnostic is a challenge, and requires the integration of clinical manifestations throughout their evolution. A 23-year-old female patient presented with a prior diagnosis of florid cemento-osseous dysplasia and a history of multiple odontomas since age 12, without relevant family history. On physical examination, multiple subcutaneous nodules were found distributed across the scalp, trunk, and left leg. Imaging revealed multiple impacted teeth, some with pericoronal hypodense areas, dental absences, lesions compatible with three odontomas, bilateral mandibular osteomas, alongside displacement and widening of the mandibular canal. After excision of three subcutaneous nodules, histopathological diagnoses were two lipomas and one fibroma. The integration of clinical, imaging, and histopathological findings, together with genetic evaluation, established the phenotypic diagnosis of Gardner syndrome. The patient remains under follow-up for molecular confirmation and comprehensive management.
