Resumo: Mucocele is a common benign lesion of the minor salivary glands, resulting from mucus extravasation or retention, often associated with local trauma. Clinically, it presents as a nodular swelling with a translucent appearance, smooth surface, and fluctuant consistency, most frequently affecting the lower lip mucosa. A 29-year-old male patient presented with a nodular lesion on the lower lip, with a one-month history, asymptomatic and clinically suggestive of mucocele. Surgical excision was performed using a diode laser (808 nm, 1.5 W, continuous mode) under local anesthesia, including adjacent minor salivary glands. The technique provided adequate hemostasis and good surgical field visibility; suturing was required due to lesion depth. The postoperative period was uneventful. After two weeks, a firm area was observed and treated with low-level laser therapy (808 nm, 2 J per point). Histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis, demonstrating the safety and effectiveness of this approach and offering relevant clinical benefits.
