Resumo: An 8-year-old male patient was referred for evaluation of delayed tooth eruption and increased bone density. At the time of consultation, the patient presented with immobilization of the left leg due to a recent fracture. Clinical examination revealed dental crowding and delayed exfoliation of primary teeth. Panoramic radiograph demonstrated generalized increased bone radiopacity, with obliteration of medullary spaces and a characteristic "bone-within-bone" appearance. These findings were consistent with osteopetrosis (Albers-Schönberg disease, autosomal dominant type II). Due to increased bone density and fracture history, careful dental management was recommended to minimize the risk of osteomyelitis and surgical complications. The patient is under regular follow-up for monitoring of dental development and systemic manifestations. This case highlights the importance of early recognition of osteopetrosis and its implications for oral health management.
