Resumo: Ectomesenchymal Chondromyxoid Tumor is a rare benign tumor with a predilection for the anterior dorsal area of the tongue. A 42-year-old man presented to the Oral Lesions Reference Center with a 15-year history of an asymptomatic nodular lesion on the anterior dorsal surface of the tongue. Surgical excision of the lesion was performed. The histopathological examination revealed a spindle cells proliferation arranged in a lobulated pattern, with lobules of varying sizes separated by thin fibrovascular septa. The intervening stroma is hyalinized, exhibiting chondromyxoid areas. Immunohistochemical analysis showed diffuse positivity for S100 and GFAP and negativity for AE1/AE3 and CD34. There was no recurrence of the lesion after 08 months of follow-up. This case stands out due to its rarity and highlights the clinicopathological features of the chondromyxoid ectomesenchymal tumor, emphasizing the importance of its recognition in the differential diagnosis of nodular tumors of the tongue.
