Título: LYMPHOMATOID PAPULOSIS TYPE E AFFECTING THE BUCCAL MUCOSA: A RARE CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW

Resumo: Lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP) type E is a rare form of primary cutaneous CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorder presenting recurrent ulcerative lesions on the skin and/or mucous membranes, often with remissions and relapses, and usually with a good prognosis. To date, about 33 cases of intraoral LyP have been reported. Of them, only 4 cases were diagnosed as LyP type E. Noteworthy, we have previously reported 4 cases of LyP types C (n=1), D (n=1), and E (n=2) with exclusively intraoral involvement. A 58-year-old man was referred presenting a large mouth ulcer for 5 days. His medical history was unremarkable, except for the vitiligo diagnosis. Ulcerative lesions on skin and other mucosal surfaces were not observed. Histopathologic analysis revealed infiltration by atypical lymphoid cells, with angiocentric/angioinvasive pattern, which revealed a CD30+ cytotoxic T-cell immunophenotype. CD56 and EBER1/2 were negative. One month after the biopsy, complete remission of the lesion was observed.
