Resumo: OBJECTIVE: According to the World Health Organization, in 2024, 1.23 million people died from tuberculosis, including 150,000 people living with HIV. On those patients, hematogenous or lymphatic dissemination may occur, leading to extrapulmonary manifestations. The aim of this study is to analyze the frequency of extrapulmonary tuberculosis in HIV-positive patients with peripheral lymph node and laryngeal involvement in the state of Rondônia, in the Western Amazon, between 2020 and 2024. STUDY DESIGN: This is an observational, descriptive, retrospective study with both quantitative and qualitative approaches, based on secondary data obtained from compulsory notification forms from the Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN). RESULTS: Between 2020 and 2024, a total of 3,837 tuberculosis cases were reported in the state of Rondônia, of which 443 were HIV-positive. Among these, 18 presented extrapulmonary forms: 17 patients with peripheral lymph node involvement and 1 with laryngeal involvement. CONCLUSION: Tuberculosis in people living with HIV/AIDS is the condition with the greatest impact on mortality from AIDS and tuberculosis in the country. Furthermore, the differential diagnosis of extrapulmonary forms is complex, as symptoms are often nonspecific. Therefore, accurate diagnostic techniques are required to ensure appropriate treatment and clinical monitoring.
