Resumo: Fibroepithelial polyp is a reactive lesion commonly associated with chronic mechanical irritation, particularly from ill-fitting prostheses. This report describes a case of a 61-year-old woman presenting with an asymptomatic pedunculated lesion on the hard palate with unknown evolution time. Clinical examination revealed a well-circumscribed, normochromic exophytic mass with firm consistency measuring approximately 3 cm in diameter. Considering the clinical features and the history of chronic prosthetic irritation, a reactive lesion was suspected. The lesion was completely excised and submitted for histopathological examination, which confirmed the diagnosis of fibroepithelial polyp. The patient was advised to replace the inadequate prosthesis to eliminate the etiological factor and prevent recurrence. At the 6-month follow-up, satisfactory healing was observed with no evidence of recurrence.
