Título: SURGICAL REMOVAL OF COMPOUND ODONTOMA IN AN OLDER PATIENT FOR IMPLANT REHABILITATION

Resumo: A 61-year-old female patient was referred after a radiographic finding detected during dental implant planning. Panoramic radiography revealed multiple radiopaque structures resembling denticles surrounded by a well-defined radiolucent halo. Cone beam computed tomography was performed for lesion delimitation and surgical planning. Although asymptomatic and diagnosed at an uncommon age, surgical removal was indicated to allow implant placement in the affected region. Enucleation was performed under local anesthesia, and the specimen was submitted for histopathological examination. Microscopic analysis confirmed compound odontoma, demonstrating organized dental structures composed of enamel, dentin, and pulp tissue. The postoperative course was uneventful, and the patient remains under clinical and radiographic follow-up without recurrence.
