Título: INCIDENTAL ANTRAL PSEUDOCYST DIAGNOSED BY CONE BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY IN A PATIENT WITH ODONTOGENIC PAIN

Resumo: Antral pseudocyst is a benign lesion of the maxillary sinus usually detected as an incidental imaging finding. A 67-year-old woman was referred to an Oral Medicine service for management of a presumed symptomatic antral pseudocyst associated with a one-year history of left posterior maxillary pain. Clinical examination identified a carious maxillary molar as the actual source of symptoms. Periapical radiography showed a well-defined, dome-shaped radiopacity attached to the sinus floor. Cone beam computed tomography confirmed a radiopaque lesion projecting into the sinus cavity without bone destruction or expansion. The diagnosis of incidental antral pseudocyst was established. After dental treatment, symptoms resolved. As the sinus lesion was innocuous and unrelated to the odontogenic pain, no surgical intervention was performed, and periodic follow-up was recommended.
