Resumo: Simple bone cyst is a benign intraosseous lesion, usually asymptomatic and incidentally detected on radiographic examination. A 15-year-old male was referred for endodontic evaluation after panoramic radiography revealed a unilocular radiolucent lesion in the right posterior mandible. The patient reported no symptoms. Clinical examination showed no cortical expansion, and pulp vitality tests were positive, excluding the need for endodontic treatment. The case was then referred for oral medicine assessment. Cone-beam computed tomography demonstrated a well-defined hypodense lesion with mild expansion. Aspiration yielded serosanguineous fluid, and surgical exploration revealed an empty bone cavity without epithelial lining, confirming the diagnosis of simple bone cyst. Curettage was performed to stimulate bone repair. After eight months of follow-up, the patient remains asymptomatic, with radiographic evidence of bone regeneration.
