Resumo:
A 40-year-old male patient presented with an erosive lesion on the right lower lip vermilion near the oral commissure. Clinical examination suggested actinic cheilitis. An incisional biopsy was performed, and histopathological analysis revealed severe epithelial dysplasia. Based on this diagnosis, partial vermilionectomy under local anesthesia using a high-power laser was performed. The procedure provided adequate intraoperative hemostasis and precise tissue removal. Histopathological examination of the surgical specimen confirmed severe epithelial dysplasia with free margins. Postoperative healing was uneventful, and no recurrence was observed after one year of postoperative follow-up. Partial vermilionectomy with high-power laser proved to be an effective therapeutic approach in this case.
