Título: Extranodal NK/T-Cell Lymphoma: A case report

Resumo: Extranodal NK/T cell Lymphoma (ENKTL) is an extranodal lymphoma of NK or T cell lineage, characterized by vascular damage and destruction, prominent necrosis, cytotoxic phenotype, and association with Epstein-Barr virus. Affects adults, with a median age of 43-53 years and male predominance. The prevalence of ENKTL varies depending on ethnicity and geographical location, accounts for 0.5-7.8% of cases in Central and South American countries. A 52-year-old male presented a left facial asimemtry with a 4 months of evolution, intraoral examinations revealed a mass in the buccal mucosa with exophytic growth and necrosis. An incisional biopsy was perfomed. Histopathological analysis revealed a malignant neoplasm with solid pattern composed of atypical and small lymphocytes with hyperchromatic nuclei. Immunohistochemistry was positive for LCA, CD3, perforin and granzyme. with Ki67 proliferation index of 80-90% and EBER EBV positive. Based on histologic and immunohistochemical findings, a diagnosis of extranodal NK/T Cell lymphoma was made. The patient was referred to a tertiary care center for oncologic evaluation and treatment. This case emphasizes the importance of classification of lymphomas through histopathological and immunohistochemical analysis for accurate diagnosis and timely management and prognosis.
