Resumo: Trisomy 21 (T21) is a genetic condition that affects an individual's cognitive, physical, and oral development. Periodontal disease in adults with T21 tends to progress rapidly. This report presents three clinical cases of adults with T21, aged 45, 42, and 32. Primary clinical findings included clinical attachment loss, alveolar bone loss, periodontal pockets, gingival inflammation, increased bleeding, and tooth mobility, often leading to early tooth loss. Patients received weekly follow-ups for supragingival and subgingival scaling, dental prophylaxis, oral hygiene instruction, and extraction of severely compromised teeth. While chronic periodontitis signs were stabilized, poor oral hygiene remained a challenge, limiting further improvement. Caregiver awareness and involvement are crucial in such cases. A multidisciplinary approach is essential to provide comprehensive care and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with T21.
