Resumo: Ameloblastic fibroma is a rare, benign mixed odontogenic tumor characterized by the proliferation of both epithelial and mesenchymal components. It typically affects children and adolescents, most commonly involving the posterior mandible. A 20-day-old male patient was brought for dental evaluation due to mandibular swelling. Clinical examination revealed a well-defined bulging in the anterior region and body of the mandible. Computed tomography showed a well-circumscribed hypodense intraosseous lesion with hyperdense foci, measuring 10 cm at its greatest diameter, associated with developing teeth. The lesion was enucleated under general anesthesia, revealing a well-delimited tumor with a fibrous consistency. Histopathological analysis demonstrated islands of odontogenic epithelium associated with spindle cell proliferation. In some areas, calcified material surrounding the epithelial islands was noted, consistent with a diagnosis of ameloblastic fibroma. The patient has been under dental follow-up for 12 months, with no evidence of recurrence to date.
