Resumo: The oral lymphoepithelial cyst is a rare developmental lesion that arises in regions of the oral mucosa containing lymphoid aggregates. Here, we present a case of sublingual lymphoepithelial cyst, reporting its clinical and histopathological features. A 56-year-old female presented with a slow-growing, painless sublingual mass for over one year. Intraoral examination revealed a well-defined rounded white nodule under the ventral surface of the tongue. An excisional biopsy was performed. Histopathological examination revealed a cystic lesion lined by non-keratinized squamous epithelium. Areas of ciliated pseudostratified columnar epithelium with mucous cells and focal epithelial hyperplasia were observed. The epithelium was surrounded by a lymphoid stroma with few germinal centers. The cystic lumen contained desquamated epithelial cells, inflammatory cells, and amorphous eosinophilic material. The diagnosis of oral lymphoepithelial cyst was confirmed. The postoperative was uneventful and no signs of recurrence were observed at six-month follow-up.
