Resumo: We report eight cases of oncological patients presenting with benign migratory glossitis (BMG) following anti-angiogenic treatment. All patients were male, with a mean age of 51.3 years (34-64 years). Oncological diagnoses included renal clear cell carcinoma (4 cases), thyroid carcinoma (2 cases), high-grade glioma (1 case) and hepatocellular carcinoma (1 case). Anti-angiogenic drugs included oral tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), such as sorafenib (cases 1 and 4), pazopanib (cases 2, 3 and 7), cabozantinib (case 6), and lenvatinib (case 8). Only one patient was treated with the intravenous monoclonal antibody bevacizumab (case 5). Physical oral exam revealed erythematous circinate and serpiginous erosions on the tongue in all cases. Oral symptoms included dysgeusia and dysphagia. None of the patients reported a previous history of BMG. Although BMG usually does not require treatment, its diagnosis in this scenario might precede more serious adverse events that require dose reduction or temporary discontinuation targeted therapy.
