Resumo: While the literature mainly documents the presence of gubernacular canals in incisors and molars, its occurrence in supernumerary teeth is rarely observed. This study presents two cases in which gubernacular canals were identified in supernumerary teeth using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). The first case involves a 39-year-old patient with a supernumerary tooth associated with tooth 44, showing complete root development and the presence of the canal. The second case describes a 16-year-old with the structure linked to a supernumerary tooth with incomplete root development near tooth 35. In both instances, CBCT provided a detailed three-dimensional view of the canal, reinforcing its value in evaluating anatomical structures. Although rare, reports on gubernacular canals in such teeth enhance the understanding of the structure's clinical significance in uncommon scenarios and provide new perspectives about the process of dental eruption. The study highlights the importance of further research about gubernacular canal in supernumerary teeth.
