Resumo: Facial mutilations resulting from oncological surgeries, trauma, or congenital malformations lead to significant functional, aesthetic, and psychological impairments. Loss of facial structures causes disfigurement, often triggering low self-esteem, depression, feelings of rejection, and loss of identity. Maxillofacial prostheses (MFP) are indicated for the rehabilitation of these patients, particularly in oral cancer cases, which frequently require surgical intervention. The use of MFP aims to restore aesthetics and function, protect exposed tissues, and significantly improve life quality. "This study aims to characterize existing PBMF types in facially mutilated head and neck cancer patients and assess rehabilitations impact on their quality of life.
