Resumo: The mandible is a crucial facial bone involved in mastication, occlusion, respiration, phonation and aesthetics. In cases of severe trauma or pathology requiring mandibulectomy, microsurgical bone reconstruction is recommended. We report the case of a female patient diagnosed with well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the gingival ridge with bone infiltration who underwent conventional oncological treatment with radiotherapy, chemotherapy and right hemimandibulectomy. After cancer recurrence and a second surgery three years later, bone reconstruction was not recommended. Prosthetic rehabilitation began with a modified removable partial denture to restore oral function, and a custom chin support device was fabricated by additive manufacturing to improve mandibular stability and muscle support. Physiotherapy and speech therapy were also performed. This case highlights the need for individualized and multidisciplinary rehabilitation in oncological patients with facial mutilations.
