Resumo: Oral solitary fibrous tumor (O-SFT) is a rare, benign mesenchymal neoplasm, likely of fibroblastic or myofibroblastic origin. This report describes a 37-year-old White male with a progressively enlarging palatal lesion over seven months. Clinical examination revealed a pedunculated, fibrous, painless tumor, similar in color to the adjacent mucosa with a yellowish center, measuring approximately 10 x 5 cm on the right hard palate, extending to the oropharynx. An incisional biopsy showed neoplastic mesenchymal cells arranged in alveolar patterns, with hyalinized collagenous septa and prominent vascularization. Immunohistochemical analysis was positive for CD34, CD99, Bcl-2, STAT-6, and Ki-67, confirming the diagnosis of O-SFT. The lesion was surgically removed, and the patient has remained under medical follow-up with no clinical signs of disease for five months.
